Local law enforcement executed a search warrant near the Glenmore area Tuesday in connection with Friday's shooting at the Rich gas station on the Beverly Five-lane.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Brady said members of the sheriff's office and Elkins detachment of the West Virginia State Police were attempting to gather evidence that might help them locate the man who shot a clerk working at the gas station Friday night.
"We were conducting some searches trying to obtain evidence, pending the investigation of the case involving the Rich gas station shooting," Brady said Tuesday evening.

Members of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and the Elkins Detachment of the West Virginia State Police search a property in relation to the shooting at Rich Oil on Friday.
Brady would not disclose who owned the property officers were scouring or whether the sheriff's office had developed a suspect in the case.
"I would rather not reveal that at this time," he said in response to a question about the location of the search.
However, The Inter-Mountain observed officers searching three trailers located near Glenmore along Moyer Hollow Road.
Several police cruisers were parked in the driveway leading to the trailers, and another was parked a short distance down the street. Officers could be seen walking through the yard of the homes appearing to be searching for something. Officers - including Brady - were observed going in and out of the residence.
Another cruiser was spotted in the New Life Christian School parking lot. Reports indicate that students were escorted from the building by school personnel. Children that were walking from the school were required to call the school to indicate they made it home safely.
Brady cautioned the public to be aware of their surroundings.
"There's always that element of danger when you have a person capable of shooting at someone like this," he said.
According to previous reports, a white male wearing dark-colored pants, a dark-colored jacket and a hooded sweatshirt approached the gas station just after 11 p.m. Friday and fired several shots at clerk Shawn Townsend. The shooter then reportedly ran away, heading in the direction of Glenmore Loop Road.
Townsend has been released from the hospital after being treated for eye and facial injuries.
Brady has asked anyone with any information about the case to call RCSO via the nonemergency number for the Randolph County E-911 Center at 304-637-3561 or the anonymous tip line at 304-636-TIPS (304-636-8477).
