The Buckhannon Rotary Club and St. Joseph's Hospital have set the dates for the spring blood screenings and Health Fair.
The Rotary Blood Screenings are scheduled for Saturday and April 27 at the Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School and at the Tri-County Health Clinic in Rock Cave. The screenings will run from 6:30 to 10 a.m. The Basic Blood Profile test will be offered for $35, a savings of 90 percent. Optional testing for colon cancer and thyroid screening is available for an additional $5, Hemoglobin A1C testing for diabetes is $15 and PSA testing is $20.
St. Joseph's Hospital also will host its Spring Health Fair from 6:30 to 10 a.m. April 27 at the Buckhannon Middle School, in conjunction with the Rotary Blood Screening. On hand will be a variety of health professionals with free testing and information designed to keep everyone healthy.
Free tests include bone-density screening, glucose checks, skin cancer screening, pulse oximetries, dental cancer screenings and blood pressure checks.
