The Elkins High School baseball team swept a pair of games Saturday in non-conference action at the Elkins High School Field.
The Tigers defeated Petersburg by a score of 2-0 in the opener and captured a 12-0 win over Big 10 foe Preston in the nightcap.
Colby Gainer notched the win in the lidlifter in a complete-game effort. Gainer gave up three hits, walked three and stuck out five.

Gainer also had an RBI double, while Clayton Collett had a double and scored a run for the Tigers.
Alex See took the loss for the Vikings in six innings of work. He gave up one earned run, two hits, walked zero and struck out four.
Ryan Colaw had two hits, while Brian George added one hit for Petersburg.
Caleb Riggleman picked up the win in the second game against the Knights in five innings of work. He gave up two hits, walked three and struck out eight.
Silas Gibson had three hits, two RBIs and scored two runs, while Gainer had two hits, three runs scored and an RBI for the Tigers (5-7). Collett also had two hits an RBI.
"It was good to get two wins," Elkins coach Adam Roth said. "We had a two good pitching performances today, and I thought we hit the ball well, especially in the second game."
Petersburg (9-3) will host Washington at 4 p.m. Tuesday for a non-conference matchup.
Elkins, which has won four straight games, will visit Liberty at 7 p.m. today for a Big 10 Conference contest.
