Philippi Main Street and partners are making final arrangements for the April 30 Spring Art Stroll, which will bring artists of visual, fabric, music and literary modes once more to Philippi's downtown.
This year's spring event will bring more than 20 artists to 20 business locations and the Court House Square for the enjoyment of strollers from both the community and the surrounding areas. The event is set from 5 to 8 p.m.
Strollers are asked to stop by the event's registration table prior to beginning the Art Stroll to pick up the list of artists, exhibit sites and a map.
Sydney Fitzwater, one of Sarah Ferguson’s arts students, exhibits her work in last fall’s Art Stroll. Ferguson’s students will once again exhibit their work in Code Blue for the Spring Art Stroll along Philippi’s Main Street.
This year's stroll still is in need of volunteers to serve as hosts and hostesses at the exhibit sites. Hosts greet strollers, introduce them to the artists and help set up and take down exhibits. Anyone wanting to assist as a host/hostess is asked to call Tammy Stemple at 304-457-3700 or Karen Larry at 304-457-3773.
