Bulldogs sweep Philip Barbour

MILL?CREEK - Tygarts Valley swept a pair of games from Philip Barbour on Saturday.

P.J. Lanham drove in three runs to power the Bulldogs to a 5-4 win in nine innings in the first game, while Tygarts Valley claimed a 6-5 decision in the nightcap.

Keighan Chewning earned the win in the lidlifter, going all nine innings, allowing four runs on seven hits.

Quentin Mouser took the loss in relief, surrendering one run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Chance Price and Saige Cline each had two hits for the Colts, while Bryant Martin drove in two runs.

In the second game, Tygarts Valley scored six runs over the first innings to hold off the Colts.

Adam Cassell, Lanham and Timmy Sparks each had RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Doug Smith drove in a pair of runs for Philip Barbour and had two hits.

Owen Arbogast earned the win, allowing five runs on five hits, striking out three and walking three.

Mouser and Zach Howdershelt both same time on the hill for the Colts.

Philip Barbour will host Liberty at 4:30 p.m. today for a Big 10 Conference tilt.

Tygarts Valley is scheduled to visit Clay-Battelle Tuesday for a doubleheader.

East Hardy 17, Man 7

BAKER?- Tyler Mongold went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs to lead East Hardy past Man 17-7 in five innings on Saturday.

Michael Miller added five?RBIs and Shawn Skovron went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBIs for the Cougars.

Cole Collier earned the win, allowing seven runs on nine hits and fanning four.

East Hardy (12-6) will travel to Pendleton County at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Pendleton 15, Man 4

FRANKLIN - Logan Cooper had a two-run single as Pendleton County claimed a 15-4 win over Man in five innings on Saturday.

Logan Raines added a double and single and scored four times, while Luke Yokum tallied two singles and an RBI.

Yokum earned the win, allowing four runs on three hits in three innings.

Pendleton County (11-7) will visit Tucker County at 5 p.m. today for a Potomac Valley Conference tilt.
