Our country is in a very critical time, and we need to pray for direction from God to equip us for these days ahead.
What happened in Boston and West Texas could happen anywhere. Are you ready if you have to remain in your house for any length of time? I believe the Lord is saying, "Get prepared in case a disaster happens in your community." It seems we are hearing every day of unusual things occurring all over the county.
God has spoken to me and thousands of others that there is an awakening coming to this nation. It may take more disasters to awaken the people that we are living in very trying times, and our need for God is greater now then ever before.
There is a war raging for the lives of the children, from the womb and every stage of their lives. We really need to keep our children covered in prayer and get involved in the schools and wherever they are. Know who your children's friends are and where they are.
Joel 2:28-29 says, "In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams and your young men will have visions." Pay attention to your dreams. God may be speaking to you.
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." My question is, are you ready? Read the whole chapter of Matthew 24. It tells us what is going to take place before Jesus returns. It is almost like reading the daily newspaper. It talks of wars and rumors of wars and nations rising up against other nations, famine and earthquakes. We have had a lot of earthquakes lately.
I truly believe we are living in the last days. God is giving us another chance to ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into our lives and save us. Time is very short, and the days grow more evil all the time. But there is hope - and that hope is Jesus Christ.
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Again, are you ready?
We would love to see you at the National Day of Prayer at noon May 2 at the Jennings Randolph Federal Building in Elkins.
