Linda L. Snyder, 67, a resident of Hambleton, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at her home.
She was born May 11, 1945, at Horse Shoe Run, Preston County, a daughter of the late Cecil Clarence Slaubaugh and Ada Waybright Bennett Slaubaugh of Montrose.
She was married to Wayne Hamilton Snyder Sr., who preceded her in death Dec. 9, 2006.
Surviving are sons, Wayne Hamilton Snyder Jr. of Parsons, Marshall Allen Snyder of Beverly, Louis Earl "Pete" Slaubaugh of Hambleton and Julius Ernest Snyder of Mill Creek; daughters, Susan Lynn Putzulu of Elkins, Ruby May Snyder of Hambleton and Ivy Florence McAtee of Parkersburg; brothers, Edward Slaubaugh and James Slaubaugh, both of Montrose; and sisters, Naomi Summerfield and Catherine Simmons, both of Belington. Seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Helen Kisner; a brother, William Slaubaugh; and an infant son.
Linda was a homemaker and a member of Light of the Valley Church at Mill Creek.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Norma Jean Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens.
