Annabelle Shoemaker, 92, of Thomas, passed away May 9, 2013, in Cortland Acres.
She was born March 11, 1921, at Canaan Valley, a daughter of the late Roy Cussins and Ethel Nines Cussins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Minear Shoemaker, in 2003.
She is survived by one son, Denny (Diana) Shoemaker of Thomas; three grandchildren, James (Crystal) Shoemaker of Thomas, Holly Shoemaker Sponaugle of Elkton, Va., and Janet Lambert of Morgantown; and seven great-grandchildren, Annabella, Addalaen and Michael Shoemaker, Dustin and Emily Sponaugle, and Madison and Zachery Lambert.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Cussins and Raymond Cussins, and one sister, Opal Myers.
Ms. Shoemaker was a homemaker for the majority of her life. She was affiliated with Community Bible Church of Davis.
Friends will be received today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Callaway officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
