Chamber supports career fair

Career Day at Philip Barbour High School saw strong support by members of Barbour County Chamber of Commerce and the school’s Future Business Leaders of America Club. At the event, Teresa VanAlsburg, director of Career Services at Alderson-Broaddus College, presented a short course on career planning, assisted by many of Barbour County’s prominent business leaders. Chamber business sponsors attending the annual luncheon included Deborah Keene and Kevin Lambert from Allegheny Insurance, Orion Hipple from BC Bank, Director of the Chamber of Commerce Dr. Don Smith, Allan Feldman of Belington Laundry, Susie Cvechko and Jeff Powelson from Broaddus Hospital, Sam Dierman for Consol Energy, Mike Cvechko with the insurance industry, Mystee Carter and Helen Vance of Freedon Bank, Master of Ceremonies Reg Trefethen and manager of Community Garden Market for Heart and Hand Ministries, Lynne Snyder of Linalou, Uninc., Libby Nestor and Amanda Wagner-Ball from Premier Bank.
