PEIA insurance holders received a letter June 4 about a new comprehensive care partnership.
By joining the partnership, PEIA members will have their co-pays and co-insurances waived for services obtained by one of the healthcare providers listed on a directory that was enclosed in the letter. Pocahontas Memorial Hospital's Rural Health Clinic was not included in that directory, but it is in the process of submitting final paperwork to be a participating provider.
All Pocahontas County residents will receive new letters from PEIA with an updated directory, and the PMH Rural Health Clinic anticipates this happening by this week. PMH Rural Health Clinic representatives are excited about being able to provide this new option to patients. Anyone who wants to join the program is asked to wait until receiving an updated directory so he or she can list the Rural Health Clinic's proper information on the enrollment form.
The Rural Health Clinic offers a full range of medical services, including care for illness and chronic disease management, well child checks, immunizations and physical examinations, in addition to women's and children's health services.
The clinic is open to anyone and is located inside the hospital, which allows patients easy access to lab and X-ray services. The clinic is open seven days a week during the following hours: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Registration for the clinic is at the front desk of the hospital. Walk-ins are welcome. More information is available by calling 304-799-6200.
