By John Wickline - Upshur Bureau Chief , The Inter-Mountain

A Buckhannon man remains lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond after being charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

According to the complaint in Upshur County Magistrate Court, Darrell G. Ware, 45, of 1773 Railroad Grade Road, was not residing at the address listed on the state police's registry.

The complaint stated that on May 16, the West Virginia State Police was attempting to serve a Department of Motor Vehicles revocation order on a license plate issued to Ware at the Colonial Motel in Buckhannon. The trooper was told that Ware had moved from the motel on April 30.

The complaint stated that troopers contacted Ware by telephone the next day, telling him to come to the Buckhannon detachment to update his address. The complaint stated he failed to come to the detachment that day. On May 20, the state police met with Ware at the Super 8 Hotel in Weston.
