Clarksburg man arrested in Upshur

A Clarksburg man remains lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond after being arrested Friday on a felony domestic battery charge in Buckhannon.

James Washington, 47, of 106 Watson Road, is facing a charge of domestic battery - third offense, according to the complaint filed in Upshur County Magistrate Court.

The complaint stated that Washington was allegedly involved in an argument with his former spouse at 226 Camden Ave., Buckhannon. Officers found the alleged victim bleeding from scrapes on her knees and face upon their arrival, according to the complaint.

The complaint stated that Washington allegedly entered the house through a screen door, knocking it off its track, and dragged the alleged victim off the back porch and into the yard.
