William Glen Howell, 64, a resident of Pumpkintown, passed from this life Sunday morning, June 30, 2013, at home with family by his side.
He was born Thursday, Feb. 24, 1949, in Elkins, a son of the late William "Bill" Howell and Geraldine Johnson Howell, who survives.
On April 19, 1973, in Elkins, he married the former Rose Petrice, who survives in Pumpkintown.
Also left to cherish his memory are two sons, Kevin Howell and fiancee, Melissa Zambelli, of Junior and Brooks Howell and Heidi of Pumpkintown; one brother, Dennis Howell and wife, Jane, of Elkins; and six grandchildren, Mitchell, Jacklyn, Ashton, Alyssia, Pruitt and Brooklyn.
Glen attended the schools of Randolph County. He was a truck driver and retired from Hinkle Trucking in January of this year. He thoroughly enjoyed NASCAR, building regular and race engines and hunting. Glen especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services Friday, July 5, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Michael Courtwright will officiate, and interment will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Kingsville.
