Erma Lee Hedrick, 90, of Harman, passed away at her home July 19, 2013. She had been in failing health for the past year.
She was born June 4, 1923, in Harman, a daughter of the late Letcher Daniel and Gertrude Vance Judy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Richard Hedrick, whom she married in Sept. 1947. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Johnny B. and Forrest G. Judy, and one nephew, Ralph G. Judy. She is survived by two nieces, Sharon (David) Judy Caplinger, of Bowden, and Diana (David) Johnson, of Okla.; two nephews, Allen (Lee) Judy, Morgantown, and Daniel Judy, Fla.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Erma was the oldest surviving member of the Harman Presbyterian Church for over 80 years. She was a member of the Harman VFW Auxiliary, the Farm Women's Club (C.E.O.S.). Erma and her husband, Warren, were instrumental in making the Harman Senior Center a reality, where she enjoyed eating and socializing.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Harman Presbyterian Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Harman Presbyterian Church with Rev. Grey Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow at the Flanagan Hill Cemetery.
