Adaland Players to stage mystery dinner theater

August 8, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

Familiar faces will light up the stage as they frolic on Adaland Mansion's sideyard pavilion as the cast of characters in "Win, Lose or Die," written by West Virginia playwright Karen Vuranch.

This summer's Adaland Players include Ron Phillips, Heather Cotrill, David Canny and Heather Hart Johnson - all of whom are members of the Alderson Broaddus University's engineering department. Joining them will be Susan Anglin, a teacher at Kasson Elementary/Middle School; Eddy Poling, a student at Alderson Broaddus University; and Vuranch, both as a playwright and an actress.

This group of seasoned players will become part of the fabulously popular game show, "Friendly Feud," and will vie for the opportunity to travel to Hollywood to be on live television. As is a common feature of Vuranch's audience participation plays, someone will die early in the play, and the audience will work to determine the identity of the murderer.

Join in the fun of the evening and enjoy both a traditional Adaland buffet dinner and the play, which starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Adaland Mansion in Philippi. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 304-457-2415.

For directions to the mansion on the hill located 4 miles north of downtown Philippi and for a complete calendar of events for the 2013 season, please visit www.adaland.org and "like" us on Facebook.
