MORGANTOWN - Old Big East rivals West Virginia and Virginia Tech will meet on the hardwood as part of ESPN's 24-hour Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

The contest will be played at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Va.

The Mountaineers claimed a 68-67 victory last season against the Hokies at the Coliseum. WVU holds a 47-29 lead in the series.

West Virginia and Bob Huggins are coming off a disappointing 13-19 campaign. It was the first losing season for Huggins as a head coach since his first year at Akron in 1985.

After a promising start last season, the Hokies stumbled to a 13-19 record, falling to North Carolina State in the first round of the ACC tournament. They were 4-14 in league games.

The Mountaineers claimed the Big 12 Conference title in their first year in the league last season.
