Minutemen take home tri-match

WESTON - Aaron Hall toured the Deerfield Country Club in just 40 strokes Thursday, helping the Lewis County High School golf team win a three-team Big 10 golf match.

Lewis County carded a team total of 177 to edge Bridgeport at 179. Liberty finished third with a 209 total.

Mark Moran and Ethan Hull both fired a 44 for Lewis County, followed by Luke Pudder, 49; Lucas Skidmore, 54; Conner Thomas, 56; and Bryson Butcher, 58.

Lewis County's Aaron Hall fired a 4-over par 40 Thursday to win medalist honors and lead the Minutemen to victory in a three-team match at the Deerfield Country Club in Weston.

Bridgeport was led by Austin Williams' 42. Luke Gorrell, 44; James Goots, 46; Ben Smith, 47; Andre Mardmomen, 49; and Donald Kummer, 58; all competed for Bridgeport.

Liberty was led by Chase Morris and Bo Drummond, each shooting 50. Ty Wickine followed with a 53, and Jordan Rollyson was next at 56.

Lewis County returns to the links Tuesday, hosting Robert C. Byrd High School at the Deerfield Country Club.
