Tygarts Valley will make the trek to Parsons to battle Tucker County at 7:30p.m. today at R.H. Armstrong Memorial Field for a Potomac Valley Conference encounter.
The Mountain Lions opened the season with a 21-7 win at Pocahontas County in their conference opener last Friday night in Dunmore.
Senior running back Zach Armstrong rushed for 145 yards on 21 carries and returned an interception 35 yards for another score as the Mountain Lions broke a 7-7 halftime deadlock with 14 unanswered points over the final two quarters.
Junior quarterback Seth Underwood scored two touchdowns and finished the night with 50 yards rushing on 18 carries.
However, Underwood was plagued by two interceptions in the contest.
The Bulldogs suffered a 34-6 loss at home to Pendleton County last Friday in a PVC contest.
Senior Derrick Villarico scored the lone touchdown for the Bulldogs, who lost starting running back and last year's leading rusher P.J. Lanham to an injury in the first half.
His status for today's game is unknown.
Quarterback Owen Arbogast also added a 45-yard pass to Keighan Chewning to set up Villarico's touchdown run.
Tucker County captured last year's meeting, 52-6, in Mill Creek.
The Mountain Lions will remain home next Friday to battle Northern (Md.), while Tygarts Valley will travel to South Harrison for a non-conference encounter with the Hawks.
