D&E education majors assigned to county classrooms

Davis & Elkins College seniors majoring in education recently received their student teaching assignments for the fall semester. Attending a reception at Halliehurst to allow the students and their cooperating teachers to become acquainted are, from left, front row, Josh Evans, of Hambleton, W.Va., chemistry and math, assigned to Tucker County High School and Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School; George Ward Elementary School Principal Fran McLaughlin; Samantha Crabtree, of Emmitsburg, Md., elementary education and middle-school English, assigned to Jennings Randolph Elementary and Elkins Middle School; and Elkins Middle School English teacher Kelly Vandevender.
