Youth participate in camp

September 21, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

Seven- to 12-year-olds describe Camp Horseshoe as awesome with tons of activities like swimming, creek, nature, hiking, sports, arts, library and more and "the best food ever!"

Four six-day sessions are full of purposeful activity from rise and shine until lights out in the evening. Homecooked meals served family-style are always a highlight everyday.

AmeriCorps member, Kelley Bunner, serving as a camp counselor, describes Horseshoe this way, "There are few places in this world kids can go to and experience such a loving learning environment. I'm here because I see lives changed - the impression kids get is they are safe here. I watch campers grow up. Some of these children say this is the best week of their summer."
