Rachel Christine Facemire

Rachel Christine Facemire of Elkview has been appointed by Director General Cricket Leary to be a princess in the 77th Mountain State Forest Festival. She is the daughter of Lovell and Julie Facemire of Elkview. She is the granddaughter of Dayle and Jane Hudson of Alum Creek and Elmer and Marie McFarland and the late Rodney Facemire of Winfield. She has one brother, Michael Facemire, and one sister, Allison Facemire.

Princess Rachel is a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School with the class of 2010, where she was the salutatorian. She is a member of the Elkview Church of Christ, an active member of 4-H and has been honored as a West Virginia 4-H All-Star.

Rachel is a Promise Scholar at West Virginia University of Technology, where she is majoring in civil engineering. She is a dean's list student, a member of the National Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi and the recipient of the West Virginia American Society of Civil Engineers' Stanford Thorton Award.
