Dixie Lynn Bosley West, 56, a resident of Beverly, went to heaven to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Monday afternoon, Sept. 23, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Dixie was born Sunday, Sept. 22, 1957, in Elkins, a daughter of Ronald Blaine Bosley of Beverly and the late Edna Josephine Shreve Bosley.
On Oct. 30, 1999, in Elkins, she married William Robert "Bob" West II, who survives in Beverly.
Also left to cherish Dixie's memory are one daughter, Brandi Ward and husband, Tim; one granddaughter, Carlee Jo Lynn Ward; one brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Bosley, all of Beverly; one stepdaughter, Samantha West of Elkins; two nieces, Nikki and McKenzie Leary of Beverly; one nephew, Caleb Vandevender of Montrose; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved fur babies, Duke, Buddy and Lucy, all of which she loved dearly.
Preceding her in death, besides her mother, were her paternal grandparents, Glenn and Elva (Daniels) Bosley; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Iva (Arbogast) Shreve.
Dixie attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1975. She loved playing bingo, cooking, computer games, flowers and the outdoors. She especially loved to spoil her granddaughter, Carlee, who was a great source of pride and joy. Dixie lived her life with integrity and bravery and was very kind-hearted. She was truly an inspiration to her family and friends. Dixie will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends.
Visitation will be conducted at the Randolph Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 28, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., the funeral hour. John Welch will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
