H.A.S. students visit Capitol Building

October 2, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

Highland Adventist School students spent the day in Charleston recently learning about West Virginia state government. After a tour of the Capitol Building, the students met with State Sen. Clark Barnes, R-Randolph, who taught them about the work of the state Senate. The day was completed with a visit to the West Virginia State Museum, where they learned about W.Va. state history.

"We have a Capitol to be proud of," said Cheryl Jacko, principal. "Several of our students were first-time visitors to our Capitol Building and they were very impressed with what they saw." Highland Adventist School provides quality Christian education for students in grades K-12. Visit www.highlandadventistschool.org for more information.
