The Elkins High School soccer teams traveled to North Marion to take on the Huskies Tuesday evening and both teams were victorious. The girls won 3-1 while the boys prevailed by a 4-1 score.
All of the goals in the girls contest came in the second period. North Marion got on the board first with a goal two minutes after the intermission.
Elkins' Hailea Harper answered with a goal to tie the match in the 53rd minute and gave the Tigers the lead when she scored again in the 62nd minute.
Issabella Nieves secured the win when she netted the ball with three minutes left in the match.
Coach Scott Cutright said, "This was an extremely physical game tonight. Everyone played hard and did a good job."
The boys played in the late game. No further details were provided at press time.
