Single car accident snarls traffic

October 5, 2013
Inter-Mountain
A pickup truck traveling through the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Routes 33 and 219 lost control Friday afternoon in Elkins. The truck jumped the curb, drove into a grassy hillside area and immediately flipped on its side. No other vehicles were involved. The two passengers of the truck did not seek medical assistance. Two tow trucks were required to flip the truck back on its wheels. It was not in a condition to drive and was hauled away on a flatbed tow truck. The Elkins City Police, Elkins Volunteer Fire Department and Randolph County EMS responded to the scene. No further information was available at press time.
