WVWC offers marketing consulting

West Virginia Wesleyan College's School of Business is proud to announce a collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association for undergraduate and graduate students interested in the field of marketing.

Marketing visionaries established the American Marketing Association in 1937. AMA has grown to be one of the largest marketing associations in the world with over 30,000 members who practice, teach or study marketing all across the globe.

The AMA's mission is as follows: "The AMA is a professional association for individuals and organizations leading the practice, teaching and development of marketing knowledge worldwide. Our principal role is to serve as a forum to connect like-minded individuals and foster knowledge sharing, provide resources, tools and training and support marketing practice and thought leadership around the globe."

The WVWC chapter plans to provide real-world experience for its members, as well as contemporary knowledge on the theories and practices in the marketing field. The chapter will work with local businesses on marketing projects, such as developing marketing plans, designing advertising, social media and conducting marketing research.
