A man was killed in a logging accident in Tucker County Tuesday, law enforcement officials said.

Emergency responders survey the scene off of Location Road where a logging accident claimed the life of a High Mountain worker in Tucker County Tuesday.
The accident occurred around Thunderstruck 979, the area where the victim was working, off of Location Road near Parsons, according to Cpl D.W. Burge of the Parsons detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
The man was working in the area when a tree fell on him, officials said. The incident occurred around 1 p.m.
The name of the victim will not be released until his family is notified, but he was identified as a member of a contract crew working for High Mountain, police said.
The Tucker County Sheriff's Office, the Tucker County EMS, the West Virginia Division of Forestry and the Parsons Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The incident is still under investigation, officials said.
