David L. Arbogast, 56, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday evening, Oct. 14, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with his family by his side.
He was born Dec. 10, 1956, at Elkins, a son of the late Keith Arbogast and Loretta Bonnell Arbogast, who survives in Elkins.
On April 27, 1977, at Oakland, Md., he was married to Carolyn Hampiture Arbogast, who preceded him in death April 19, 2007.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy Arbogast of Elkins and Brian Arbogast and companion, Shasta Shiflett, of Belington and one daughter, Karen Delphey and husband Mike of Glady. Two brothers, Danny Arbogast and wife, Elaine, and Rocky Arbogast, all of Montrose; one sister, Donna McGinnis and husband, Jim, of Maryville, Tenn.; an uncle, Bernard Bonnell of Montrose; two aunts, Emmeleen Cave of Virginia, and Ruby Bonnell, a patient in Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center; four grandchildren, Andrea, Riley and Mikey Delphey and Destiney Shiflett, (a fifth grandchild to be born soon); several nieces, nephews; and a special cousin, Gary Bonnell also survive.
Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Bonnie Sue, Mary Ann and Vickie Lynn Arbogast.
David had been employed by Cubbage Custom Homes of Alexandria, Va., as a carpenter until becoming disabled. His greatest passion was playing with his grandchildren, and he enjoyed motorcycle riding and attended Summit Church.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in Glady Cemetery.
