Business helps animal welfare

October 26, 2013
Sonya Phares, Volunteer , The Inter-Mountain

A special thanks to Clara Belle's on Davis Avenue for allowing Animal Friends of Barbour County to use its stage for a face-painting fundraiser during the Mountain State Forest Festival.

We are a non-profit, all volunteer, no-kill shelter for lost, abused and abandoned animals, and we are not supported by any public government entity. Our veterinarian bills constitute the majority of our

expenses.

Currently, we have more than 100 dogs and more than 100 cats that are in need of loving homes. In addition to the generosity and assistance of businesses such as Clara Belle's, we always are in need of volunteers. Tasks range from direct animal care, fostering, posting pictures, fundraising, laundry care on-site, etc. Please call us at 304-823-2012 or visit our website at www.afobcwv.org.
