The Heavner Grove CEOS Club met at noon, Oct. 9, at Mt. Rupert United Methodist Church in the Eldon Tenney Fellowship Hall.
Shirley Warner, Sharon Carr and Eloise Tenney, hostesses, prepared a light luncheon for the members. The group also celebrated Letha Light's birthday.
After the luncheon, Elaine Wright, co-president, called the meeting to order with the group salute to the American flag.

Hilda Ketterman, devotion leader, read the scripture Jeremiah 50:17-20, a reading called "God is Watching," and the group prayed together.
Carr and Health Motivator, presented health facts about pumpkins, while the group tasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin cake.
After the roll call, the minutes were read and corrected.
Tenney, the treasurer, presented the club financial report. Dues for 2014 membership were collected.
The club will donate hot dog buns and water to the CEOS fundraiser on Oct. 18.
Warner showed the Christmas ornament she created to be displayed in the First Community Bank window.
Several cards were prepared to send to club members and community members for a variety of reasons. Each club member present signed the cards.
Joyce Zirkle taught the Lesson, "West Virginia Wonders."
For show-and-tell, Hilda Ketterman shared her painting, "Autumn Leaves," and her husband Terry's picture-sculpture, "Holy Spirit Tabernacle."
Wright announced the next meeting will be on Nov. 13 in the Mt. Rupert UMC Eldon Tenney Fellowship Hall at 11:30 a.m. with Carr and Tenney hosting a covered-dish Thanksgiving dinner.
Tenney is the November lesson leader.
