Aiden Stephen Purdum was born an angel here on earth into the loving arms of his parents on Sunday Dec. 8, 2013 at 12:48 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 20 inches. Aiden was born with a heart that was made only to survive in heaven. Our little angel went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at 5:15 p.m. Aiden gave us a lifetime of love during his short time here with us. He touched many lives through prayer and was a brief gift that will always be a part of our family and never be forgotten. Dearest precious baby please know that our greatest blessing was having you.
Aiden is survived by his parents, Ashleigh and Andrew Purdum. He leaves his paternal grandparents, Connie and Steve Purdum, as well as his maternal grandparents, Jeff Webb and Cindy Harman-Webb. Also surviving are one aunt, Chelsie Webb; one uncle, Levi Harman; and great-grandparents, Reggie and Lorene Purdum, Kenny and Lorine Webb and Jim and Janet Harman.
Even though this is an exceptionally difficult time, Aiden's parents wish to receive friends in celebration and in honor of their son's life. Please join them on Friday, Dec. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A committal service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, in the Mouse Cemetery near Cravensdale. Pastor David Fisher will officiate, and interment will follow.
