Sara Dawn Rowan and Thomas R. Eidell III were married Sunday, July 28, in the Scott Hill Mansion Garden. The outdoor ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dan Miller and Pastor Dave Fisher.
The bride is the daughter of Sheila and Travis Arbogast of Coalton and Donald Rowan Jr. of Clinchco, Va. She is the granddaughter of Jerry Helmick of Mabie and the late Sandra Helmick, Jim and Geraldine Queen. of Buckhannon and the late Donald Rowan Sr. She is a graduate of Sunstate Academy in Tampa, Fla. and is working at Hand and Stone Spa.
The bridegroom is the son of Thomas R. Eidell Jr. of Elkins and Kim Talbott of Elkins. He is the grandson of Dan and Gloria Miller of Elkins, Thomas R. Eidell Sr. of Elkins and the late Carolyn Eidell of Elkins. He is a graduate of the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, Fla., and is working at C.M.T., a department of M.E.I.
The bride wore a floor-length, sleeveless lace dress, with a "V" neckline and trumpeted silhouette to the base. She carried a bouquet of summer flowers as portrayed in "The Secret Garden."
The maid of honor, best man and the entire wedding party were dressed in "Great Gatsby"-era clothing. The wedding was decorated to resemble an English Garden.
At the end of the wedding, the couple released monarch butterflies together to join the family in unity.
The formal reception, which was hosted at Orchard Hall, immediately following the wedding, carried on the theme of an English Garden wedding.
The couple resides in Tampa, Fla.
