Tygart Valley girls capture road win; Central tops TC

MT. STORM - Tygarts Valley limted Union to just four field goals en route to a 44-20 win over Union Friday night in PVC action.

Emily Pingley and Kelsey Arbogast each had nine points for the Bulldogs, who led 23-11 at theintermission before outscoring the Tigers 15-3 in the third quarter.

Makayla Harris also had 10 rebounds for Tygarts Valley.

Colleena Burdock bucketed nine points for Union, which scored 12 of their points from the free-throw line.

Tygarts Valley (5-1, 4-1 PVC) will return to action at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 3 at Harman.

Wheeling Central 41

MOUNDSVILLE - Tucker County dropped its first game of the season with a 41-38 loss to Wheeling Central at the John Marshall tournament on Friday night.

The Mountain Lions will look to bounce back at 6 p.m. today against Linsly in their second game of the tournament.
