The Tucker County Senior Centers will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year holiday. The centers will be open on the regular schedule Thursday, Jan. 2.
On behalf of the Tucker County Senior Center, staff wishes all seniors a very happy new year and are looking forward to serving you in 2014.
If you are not a participant at either of the centers, you are invited to make a New Year's resolution to visit us and enjoy the fellowship.
With the winter weather upon us, some fellowship might be just what the doctor ordered to fight the gloom. You are invited to join in at the senior centers to enjoy the activities that are available to brighten your day.
The Goldenaires Choir performs each Thursday at the Parsons Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. and provides a great musical program up to the 11:30 a.m. lunch hour.
The Mt. Top Center is open Monday through Thursday each week with daily hot lunches and special programs and game days scheduled during the winter months.
Quilting sessions are held each Thursday at the Parsons center and Monday's knitting sessions and classes remain on the agenda. Both of these events will be held immediately following lunch.

The Parsons Outpost of Tucker County Senior Citizens will host its first program and covered dish lunch of the New Year on Tuesday, Jan. 7, with the program beginning at 10:30 a.m. Plan to bring your covered dish to compliment the lunch and join in for some great food and fellowship.
