IRS offers free tax help

Personal income tax preparation help is available in Upshur County this year through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for people making $52,000 or less.

Federal and state tax returns are prepared and transmitted electronically, with refunds seven to 10 days after the start of the filing season on Jan. 31.

Help is available at the Mountain CAP of WV Office, 26 Kanawha St., Suite 201, Buckhannon. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 304-472-1500.
