Due to an enthusiastic response to last year's first-ever Local Artists' Show, the Grant County Arts Council is again sponsoring an art exhibit of local works at the Landes Arts Center during the month of February.
Local artists are encouraged to bring in up to three prints or original works of art. All types of art will be welcome, including, but not limited to, paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, stained glass, textiles, pottery, sculpture and other three-dimensional works.
Artists are encouraged to provide a short biography and description of their work.
Art work will be accepted from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Landes Arts Center, where our local curator will be present. Docents will be on site whenever the exhibit is open to the public. Those dates and times will be announced soon.
"The Grant County Arts Council is continuing to focus on local talent," states Gina Hinkle, Programming Committee member. "There is quite a diverse range of artisans right here in our own community, and we are excited to have this opportunity to show it and share it with the public."
The show will open Feb. 1 with a reception and the first public viewing.
