ELKINS - Davis & Elkins College is one of 25 sites across West Virginia that will host College Goal Sunday to offer students and families free help in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The one-day workshop will be conducted from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 in Eshleman Science Center room 400.
Completing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps in preparing for education and training beyond high school because this single form often serves as the gateway to state and federal financial aid programs.
College Goal Sunday workshops are free and open to students of any age or income level who are interested in pursuing or are currently enrolled in a certificate program, a two-year degree program, or a four-year degree program.
The College Foundation of West Virginia (CFWV), the West Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and several other college access programs including TRiO and GEAR UP work together to coordinate the event.
One lucky participant will win a Kindle Fire, and other prizes will be awarded.
Anyone who would like to participate in College Goal Sunday may pre-register at cfwv.com or simply arrive at Davis & Elkins College on Feb. 9. In order to complete the FAFSA that day, you will need to bring:
