ELKINS - For the first team in nearly two weeks, it appears the weather is going to cooperate this evening and allow the high school basketball season to kick back into high gear.

A number of games are on the card, including a doubleheader in Hambleton, as the Tucker County boys will tangle with Tygarts Valley at 5:45 p.m., followed by a Class A girls showdown between No. 5 Tucker County and No. 4 Pocahontas County.

Other girls games on tap include Elkins at Bridgeport, Buckhannon-Upshur at Grafton, Philip Barbour at North Marion, Notre Dame at Tygarts Valley and Petersburg at Frankfort.
