EDINBORO, Pa. - Stephanie Wooten's 3-pointer with 33 seconds left in regulation helped Davis & Elkins upset No. 22 Edinboro, 70-67, Thursday night at McComb Fieldhouse.
The loss snapped the Scots' nine-game winning streak.
The Senators (9-11) trailed 56-47 with 11:37 left to play before rallying to tie the game at 63-all on a trey by Ashley Bowles.
After Edinboro forged ahead 67-65 with 1:43 remaining, D&E closed the game on a 5-0 run, as Wooten buried a trey after taking a pass from Ashley Magallanez off an offensive rebound.
Wooten, who came off the bench to score 15 points and dish out seven assists, then hit two free throws with 4.1 seconds left.
The Fighting Scots missed a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Jordan Lykes had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Senators, who led 35-34 at the intermission. Magallanez added 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Bowles chipped in with 13 points.
Aignee Freeland led Edinboro with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Hipp contributed 14 points and Valerie Majewski 13 points.
D&E will return home at 2 p.m. Saturday to face Ursuline for a G-MAC contest.
The Scots dropped to 14-4.
Ursuline 71, ABU 60
PHILIPPI - Erica Huber fired in 22 points to lead Ursuline to the G-MAC victory over Alderson Broaddus Thursday night at Rex Pyles Arena.
The Arrows (9-9, 5-4 G-MAC) appeared to be in control of the contest after building a 44-30 lead on a layup by Huber with 16:21 remaining.
But the Battlers embarked on a 20-8 run to cut the deficit to 52-50 on Rachel Mils' free throw.
But Ursuline outscored the hosts 19-10 over the final 7:39 of regulation to pull out the win.
Rachel Ashley was the lone player to reach double figures for the Battlers with 10. She also dished out three assists.
Laney Lewis added 10 points off the bench for the Arrows, who will travel to Davis &?Elkins at 2 p.m. Saturday for a league game.
AB (2-15, 2-7) will visit Bluefield State on the same day for a 2 p.m. nonconference contest.
