Franklin Johnson

Mr. Franklin Allen Johnson, 27, a resident of Alkali, Drive, Belington, departed this life Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2014, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. He had been in his usual health, and death was unexpected.

He was born May 27, 1986, at Warren, Ohio, a son of Thomas Jefferson Johnson of Warren, Ohio, and Lisa Kim (Jarvis) Barrett of Talbott Road,

Belington.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Crystal Hughes of Philippi; one brother, Lynn Johnson of Bristolville, Ohio; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Norma Jarvis of Belington. Additional survivors include several aunts, uncles, cousins, his fraternity brothers and a whole host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Alma Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Tim Hughes.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Philip Barbour High School with the class of 2004 and attended Alderson Broaddus University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Fraternity. He loved camping and the outdoors, four wheeling, sports and was an avid West Virginia University Mountaineer fan. He loved life and spending time with family and was currently employed for FDS Delivery service.

Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington Monday, Feb. 3, from noon to 2 p.m. At 2 p.m., there will be a memorial service conducted from the funeral home chapel with Richard Dickson officiating. At the request of the deceased, his remain were cremated.

Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Franklin Allen Johnson. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com. Although flowers are being accepted, cards of sympathy can be sent to the family in in care of Talbott Funeral Home in Belington. There will be a fellowship luncheon following services Monday at the Belington Church of The Nazarene fellowship hall located on Hoff Street in
