East Fairmont's Bill Haddox and Greenbrier West's Lewis McClung have been selected as the coaches for North-South Football Classic.

Game director Bob Mullett made the announcement on Thursday.

Haddox, who will lead the North Bears, previously coached at Tucker County and Elkins High School. He has served as the Bees coach since 2001.

In 2007, Haddox led East Fairmont to a spot in the Class AAA state semifinals, while he guided the Mountain Lions to appearances in the Class AA state title game in 1986 and 1987.

McClung, meanwhile, will guide the South Cardinals. He has been the head football coach of the Cavaliers since 2002.

McClung led Greenbrier West to a 12-2 record last season and an appearance in the Class A title game. He served as an assistant coach in last year's Classic.

"We have two outstanding coaches," Mullett said. "I've known Bill for years. Offensively, he will be very entertaining and innovative. Lewis has had a tremendous career. His teams are always strong on both sides of the ball. It will be an exciting game."

The North-South Football Classic will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Laidley Field in Charleston.
