Paula Jean Rinehart Phillips, 57, a resident of Kerens, passed from this life Thursday evening, Feb. 6, 2014, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Paula was born Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1956, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Jack Warren Rinehart and Joann Evelyn Wildman Rinehart.
Left to cherish Paula's memory are her two children, Jennifer Smith and husband, Michael, and Adam Phillips and wife, Mary; three grandchildren, Mackenzie McSpadden, Jacob Smith, and Shane Fortney, all of Elkins; her brother, Jack W. Rinehart and wife, Lora; her stepsister, Cheryl Dixon and husband, Jack; her stepmother, June Rinehart, all of Mannington; several nieces, nephews and cousins and companion, Lee Barcus.
Paula was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Timothy Sawyer.
Paula was a graduate of Mannington High School, had attended a year of beauty school and had worked in retail for K-Mart and was a manager for Kipling Shoes before becoming disabled. She loved talking on the phone, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Paula's request for cremation will be honored and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
