PHILIPPI - Philippi Youth Basketball concluded its 2014 season on Sunday with four championship games.
In the 7-8 year-old division, No. 1-seed Gray claimed a 15-10 win over No. 3 Green as Alfred Isch had six points, six rebounds and two steals.
Caden Hawkins added four points, five rebounds and two steals, while Mason Halfin had two points and two rebounds, Trinity Ketchem two points and Slade Chidester five rebounds.
The Philippi Youth Basketball 7-8 year-old champions are Alfred Isch, Leo Heller, Mason Halfin, Caden Hawkins, Slade Chitester, Aiden Howe, Avery Swiger, Trinity Ketchem and coaches Josh Halfin, Heather Halfin and John Hawkins.
Green was led by Brayden Cole's eight points. Kaidan Mayle added the other bucket.
In the 9-10 year-old championship game, second seed Blue claimed a 45-42 victory over top seed and previously undefeated Black.
Jed Hawkins fired in 27 points for the Blue team, whose only loss during the regular season came to the Black team, followed by Gage Bibey with 12, Amanda Reed with four and David White with two.
Bria Jacobs tallied 22 points, Blake Moore 12, including eight in the second half, and Ben McDaniel eight.
Top-seed Blue capped off an undefeated season in the 11-13 year-old division by defeating No. 2 Black, 47-36, as Levi Macadam tossed in 23 points. Austyn Fletcher added 10, Josh Kaiser six, Nathan Riccio four and Kobe Humphreys and Brock Dib two each.
Matt Gallo had 13, Tyler Shome nine, Logan Beltner seven. Jared Hit five and Izak Thorne two for the Black squad.
In the 14-17 year-old division. top seed Orange also completed a perfect season hy defeating No. 2 Green, 47-32.
Bai Carpenter scored 13 of his team-high 15 points in the second half as the Orange team overcame a 23-18 halftime deficit.
Green was led by Jeremy Hunt's nine points.
