INSTITUTE - Devin Miller exploded for a career-high 41 points, but it still wasn't enough to push Davis & Elkins past West Virginia State. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Senators, 83-78.
Miller tallied a double-double in the contest, adding 11 rebounds to the effort. Brian Dixon scored 11 points and Juwan Strothers added 10 points for D&E.
Terry Wood (14 points), Bo King (13 points), Angelo Sirianni (12 points) and Anton Hutchins (12 points) all reached double digits in scoring for WVSU. Steve Wing grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.

Davis & Elkins College will host Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Senators got out of the gate quick with a 12-6 lead. However, WVSU responded with a 9-2 run to take the lead. The Yellow Jackets were up 49-47 at halftime.
In the second half, the Jackets opened their largest margin of the evening, scoring seven of the first nine points in the stanza. D&E came back to tie the game at 62-62, but a pair of free throws on the ensuing possession from Hutchins put WVSU in front for the remainder of the contest. WVSU made eight-of-10 free throws in the final two minutes to seal the 83-78 victory.
Davis & Elkins hosts Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
