ELKINS - Alderson Broaddus University spoiled the Davis & Elkins' senior day celebration Saturday, beating the Senators, 68-63, in overtime at the McDonnell Center.
The Battlers (21-5, 13-1 G-MAC) controlled the pace, leading 32-18 at halftime. Thylas Perkins and Adam Kline led the charge scoring eight points each in the first half.
The Senators (12-16, 4-10 G-MAC) continued to battle, going on a 27-12 run in the first 11 minutes of the second half to take a two-point lead.
Three D&E players scored 10 or more points in the second half. Brian Dixon sniped 4-of-5 3-point opportunities, Kevin Bracy-Davis chipped in 11 points and Devin Miller scored 10 points.
With the game tied at 58, Perkins nailed a jump shot to put the Battlers ahead to start the overtime period and the Battlers never relinquished the lead.
Five Battlers finished with 10 or more points and two notched double-doubles. Kline and Lemon both compiled double-doubles their 16th and ninth of the season respectively. Lemon grabbed a team-high 16 boards and Kline added 11. Perkins led ABU with 18 points, Malcolm Tatum had 13, Kline scored 14, Ali Bilal chipped in 13 and Lemon added 10.
The Battlers will host Ohio Valley University at 6 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the G-MAC Tournament. Following that game, the Senators play Cedarville University at 8:30 p.m. at ABU.

BUCKHANNON - Lamara Mallory ripped the West Virginia Wesleyan defense for 20 points Saturday to lead Glenville State to a 78-58 win in MEC action at the Rockefeller Center.
Tanner McGrew paced the Bobcats with 17 points off the bench. Chris Dewberry chipped in 14 points, connecting on 3 of 6 shots from three point range.
With the loss, the Bobcats finished fifth in the Mountain East Conference and will host the Urbana Blue Knights in the first round of the MEC tournament on Tuesday.
D&E 79, AB 60
ELKINS - Jorden Lykes lit up the scoreboard Saturday with 23 points to lift Davis & Elkins past Alderson Broaddus, 79-60, at the McDonnell Center.
The Senators went on a 9-0 run in the first five minutes of regulation and never looked back. ABU committed 13 turnovers in the first half.
Lykes scored 17 of her 23 points after the break. She finished 8 of 11 from the floor and 7 of 11 from the charity stripe.
Rachel Ashley paced the Battlers with 11 points. Haley Robb added 10 points, going 4 of 6 from the field and 2 of 4 from long distance.
ABU will travel to Nashville, Tenn., Thursday at 8 p.m. to face second-seed Cedarville University in the first round of the G-MAC tourney. Fourth-seed D&E will battle Ursuline at 2:30 p.m.

BUCKHANNON - Chloe Brand and KiKi DeVane tallied double doubles Saturday but it wasn't enough as Wesleyan dropped an 88-80 decision.
Bland's scored 23 points and snatched 16 rebounds, while DeVane grabbed 13 rebounds and scored 10 points.
Brittany Williams had 12 points and Allie Browne scored 11 points. Lauren Graham added 10 points off the bench.
Kenyell Goodson scored 17 points off the bench for Glenville State.
The Bobcats will travel to Fairmont State Monday at 7 p.m. in opening round play of the MEC tourney.
