The Randolph County Partners in Prevention Team is planning a community baby shower for pregnant and new mothers of children age 12 months and younger in Randolph County.
The shower is scheduled for April 26 and will be held at the Senior Center in Mill Creek from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The goal is to provide participants with health, safety and support information as well as celebrate the birth of their child. Mothers must register for the event by calling the Randolph County Family Resource Network at 304-636-4454. A registration deadline has been set for
Those who are registered will receive gift bags including essential infant supplies they will need as new mothers. Space is limited to 30 mothers and one guest. This event is free and lunch will be provided.
The Partners in Prevention team would like to extend a special thanks to those who have donated door prizes and giveaway items to this year's fair.
This event is made possible through collaborative efforts of the Randolph County Partners in Prevention Team. The team consists of: the Randolph County Family Resource Network, Appalachian Community Health Center, Women's Aid in Crisis, Home Ties Strengthening Family Center by Youth Health Services, and Randolph County Children's Advocacy Center, Randolph County Board of Education, and the Randolph County Department of Health and Human Resources and WV Healthy Start/HAPI Project. Funding is provided in part by the West Virginia Children's Trust Fund and the Benedum Foundation.
