James Howard "Bo" White Sr., 83, of Davis, passed away March 11, 2014, in Cortland Acres, following a period of declining health.
He was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Dry Fork, a son of the late Osie and Florence Dietrick White.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Betty White, who passed Jan. 12, 2009 after which, she was greatly missed by him; one sister, Mary Cousin; and one brother, Carl W. White.
He is survived by two sons, James H. White Jr. of Adrian, Mich., and Terry W. White of Davis; a very special daughter, Becky Burns of Thomas; five grandchildren, Holly Wholahan of Louisville, Ky., Joey White of Pittsburgh, Pa., Rachel White of Davis, Jenna White of Adrian, Mich., and Caleb Burns of Thomas; one great-granddaughter, Josephine Victoria Wholahan; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. White was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from Blackwater Falls State Park where he was employed for 30 years. He will be missed by all. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 936 and American Legion Post 0022 of Thomas.
Friends will be received today from 2-8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Hinkle Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery.
