ST. GEORGE - Spring is here and now it's time to make plans to attend Camp Horseshoe's Spring Quilt Retreat near St. George in Tucker County May 13-17.
It will be the perfect place to spend quality time with your sewing machine and quilting friends both new and old. Come enjoy Horseshoe's relaxed atmosphere, take advantage of this time to start a new project or catch up on those projects you have started and just haven't found time to complete.
"Quilters will have an opportunity to choose a new project as follows: bear paw quilt, Karin Rodeheaver, Bayard; sunshine tablecoth and liberty banner, Mary Smith, St. George; sunny day apron, Rhonda Larsons, Rawling, Md.; sew charmed pillow, Frances Harper, Parsons; and mystery project, Marie Sines, Oakland, Md.," said Mary Smith, facilitator of the event.
While at the retreat there are no chores, meals to cook or phones to answer. Join in for a great learning experience. You will be completely spoiled as you sew, eat and sleep. The fellowship and friendships formed will last a lifetime, and you can take home a finished keepsake.
For a brochure, call Mary Smith at 304-478-2899 or go to www.yla-youthleadership.org/HeritageArts.html for all the information. Registration deadline is May 1.
