MILL CREEK - Tygarts Valley took advantage of an error in the bottom of the ninth inning to get past Richwood, 8-7, Wednesday evening in non-conference action at Bulldog Field.
The Bulldogs (2-1) had rallied for two runs in the seventh to send the game into extra innings deadlocked at 7-7.
Jace Kyle then trotted home with the winning run on a throwing error on a grounder hit by Keighan Chewning.

Owen Arbogast earned the win for Tygarts Valley in 5 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. He allowed just one hit, struck out 11 and walked two.
Hunter Parks went the first three innings, allowing five runs on three hits, fanning five and walking four. P.J. Lanham also saw time on the mound, giving up two runs on one hit in 1/3 of an inning.
Lanham and Kyle each drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, while Parks had two hits.
Bradley Gwinn led the Lumberjacks, who led 7-4 after four innings, with three RBIs.
Logan Cox was saddled with the loss, surrendering three runs on three hits in 3 1/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked three.
Tygarts Valley will host Gilmer County at 5 p.m. Friday.
Richwood dropped to 1-2 on the young season.
