TENNERTON - Buckhannon-Upshur pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of eight Elkins errors to claim an 11-1 victory Wednesday in Big 10 Conference play.
The Tigers (6-3) took a 1-0 advantage in the top of the first inning when Madison Collett drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Sydney Leary, who also had walked.
The lead was short lived, however, as the Bucs answered in the bottom of the frame on run-producing singles from Katlyn Slaughter and Casey Frederick.

B-U blew the game open an inning later, scoring six times on the strength of six Tiger errors coupled with seven hits.
Cora McDaniels and Shadie Suder started the uprising with singles and both were able to trot home on Lindsay Wagoner's double when Elkins committed two miscues on the play.
Alexis McDaniels followed with a single to bring Wagoner home to make it 5-1.
Slaughter, Morgan Kniceley and Mariah Zickefoose later added hits as the lead increased to 8-1.
The Bucs ended the game in the third due to the 10-run mercy rule when three more runs crossed.
Julie Tenney and Wagoner had singles in the ininning, while Elkins aided the cause with two more errors.
Every player in the B-U starting lineup had at least one hit. Wagoner went 3 for 3 to lead the way.
"We finally got back to hitting the ball today," Bucs coach Levi Bender said. "We were aggressive on the base paths and took advantage of some miscues.
"We finally put it together again. I just hope we can keep this momentum going."
Haley Collett and Madison Collett had the lone hits for Elkins.
Cora McDaniels earned the win for the Bucs, while Korri Evans was tagged with the loss.
Both teams will return to action today, as B-U will visit Preston at 4:30 p.m. and the Tigers will entertain North Marion at 5:30 p.m.
